the chef cutting our peking duck
We called in to make reservation & advance ordering of the peking duck as the waiting time for it would be 40 minutes. So ours is served immediately after we arrived.
the duck skin + head
blueberry sauce & popping candy
The duck's skin is to be dipped with blueberry sauce + popping candy & leave it in your mouth to sense the popping candies pop before chewing. The popping sensation makes the skin feels less oily to be swallowed.
crepe + sweet bean sauce + duck breast meat + cucumber + scallions
duck skin x breast meat x drumstick meat
crepes x sauces
$80
remaining meat fried with scallions & ginger
The remaining duck meat with bones are cooked with scallions & ginger with an additional cost of $10. The 1st few bites were nice but it became too salty after the 2nd piece.
The portion is too much for 2 person thou we didn't order other dishes except for tea. The peking duck is meant for 3 person or more.
Kungfu Jungle
No other movies seem nice so we watch Kungfu Jungle starring Donnie Yen while hoping it won't suck as he's a great actor. After which we find our way to the cafe (Windowsill Pies) which is located remotely. Had to take a 10-15 minutes walk from the nearest bus stop/mrt station.

pouting but i'm captivated by the decorations
Banana Almond ($7)
Strawberry Lemon ($7)
S'mores Dark Chocolate ($8)
Coconut Lime Vodka ($8)
Tea: Aloe Vera Rooibios ($6)
Both of us prefer the S'mores pie as the Lime & Lemon pie are too sour but still quite nice. This ღ of mine even squeezed the lime on the pie which was meant as a decorative item. Overall the pies are unique & the environment is very cosy.
homely environment
There wasn't much customers in the night as compared to the day so we got the chance to snap many photos.
$35 Sambal Belacan Fish
@ Lai Huat Seafood Restaurant (2-3 shops around the corner of Windowsill Pies)
ღ still feels hungry so we had supper after dessert. ღ had fried rice & decides to order the fish after knowing the shop is famous for their sambal belacan fish.
The sambal belacan is nice but the fish is overcooked with little meat. We were expecting it to be grilled.
